If, on a Saturday afternoon, your spouse beg you for handmade Almond Brittle, you can’t help it: you must please him! Half an hour later, Ivano was enjoying his brittle, and I was looking at him, delighted and satisfied with making him happy in no time. You can make Almond Brittle in larger amounts, cut it in smaller pieces, and store in a tight box: it will last several days, so you can keep satisfying your craving for some brittle every now and then 🙂 Have a nice afternoon, my readers :-*
Ingredients for 6 brittles: xenical to buy online
200 g of peeled almonds
250 g of sugar
1 tbsp of water
1 tsp of lemon juice
Preparation Time: 5 min.
Cooking Time: 15 min.
Total Time: 20 min.
Put the almonds in an oven pan, and roast them for 5 minutes in the oven at 180°C.
Chop them coarsely, just leaving a few whole almonds.
Put sugar, water and lemon in a saucepan.
Let melt on a low heat, just stirring every now and again, till you get an amber caramel.
Once ready, turn the gas off, and stir the almonds into the saucepan. Amalgamate evenly.
Now quickly pour the mixture over some baking paper.
Put another sheet of baking paper over the mixture, and level it with you hands. Let cool for a few minutes and, before it hardens completely, cut it into little bars with a sharp knife.
Let Almond Brittle cold and harden, then… enjoy!
