Here you have one more vegetable I had never cooked before: Brussel sprouts. I’ve always had a sort of prejudice: I used to think they tasted like cauliflower (I don’t like it that much) and so that I wouldn’t like them… But I run into them a few weeks ago, while I was searching for the seasonal ingredients to prepare the october ingredient profile for the Facebook page… and I decided that I finally had to taste them! So I studied how to clean them and cook them, and made these Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. I must say it: they’ve been a delicious discovery, definitely promoted! And I will surely made them again among my winter side dish!

Ingredients for 4 servings:
500 g di Brussels sprouts
1 clove of aglio
100 g of diced bacon (or pancetta)
EVO oil

Preparation Time: 15 min.
Cooking Time: 20 min.
Total Time: 35 min.

How to make Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Clean the Brussel sprouts by removing the outer leaves and the base stalk.

Steam the sprouts for about 15 minutes.

Let fry the garlic in a pan till golden, then add the diced bacon.

Now add the sprouts and cook for 5 minutes.

Season to taste and serve your Brussels Sprouts with Bacon.
