Carnival is the symbol of all cooking feasts. It is characterized by delicious gastronomic specialties… But the dessert recipes play a leading role!
Many Carnival recipes are typical of regional cuisine. On Mardi Gras in every Italian region plenty of dessert recipes are made. Among the typical recipes we have chiacchiere, sanguinaccio and migliaccio, together with apple fritters, fried zeppole and castagnole.
The first course par excellence, made all over Italy during Carnival, prepared with egg-pasta sheets, mozzarella cheese, and meat ragu sauce, is Lasagna!
