As I’ve already told you, this will be cookie week. And since today is December 1st, no better recipe to post than Christmas Cookies!
Recently cookies have begun my biggest passion in the kitchen, and last weekend, in full Christmas climate, I devoted myself to make these cute and colorful Christmas Cookies. I armed myself with Cristmas cutters, with my spouse’s help and with a good deal of patience… and this is the nice result I brought at my in-laws’, where we polished off 2 whole trays of cookies.
In short, to go into Christmas mood, these cheerful colored cookies sound perfect to me!
Ingredients for 25/30 cookies:
75 g of butter
50 g of sugar
50 g of icing sugar
1 packet of vanillin
1/2 tsp of baking powder
buy valacyclovir 1 egg
150 g of pastry flour
Ingredients for the sugar icing:
80 g of icing sugar
2 tbsp of water
Preparation Time: 30 min.
Baking Time: 20 min.
Total Time: 50 min. + 1 hour for dough resting
Work butter, sugar and egg.
Add in flour, vanillin and baking powder, and knead quickly with your fingertips.
Make a balla and let rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
Take back the dough, roll it out on a floured pastry board till you get a 3 mm sheet, and create the cookies with your cutters.
Place the cookies on a buttered oven tray.
Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes or till golden.
Now let’s make the icing: dissolve icing sugar wit water.
Divide the icing in several little bowls, and add a different coloring agent in each one.
Stir to get a bright and even color. Also prepare sprinkles and decorations for your cookies.
Brush your cookies with the icing as soon as you take them put of the oven, and garnish immediately with the decorations, as the icing will congeal quickly.
Move your Christmas Cookies onto a platter, and serve.
You can also use your Christmas Cookies to decorate your Christmas tree! Just make a small hole in the dough before baking. Then, after decorating, thread a colored ribbon into the hole and hang you cookies on your tree!
