Coppa del Nonno (Grandfather’s cup) is a famous (here in Italy) ice cream produced by Motta. My mother uses to make this coffee ice cream that is really alike it. Ingredients for about 600 gr of ice cream:
500 ml of whipping cream
100 g of sugar
10 g of instant coffee
1/2 small cup of strong coffee
1 tsp buy Vermox of plain cocoa
Preparation Time: 20 min.
Total Time: 20 min. + 2 hours in the freezer
Prepare the strong coffee, and put it in the freezer. Separate yolks anf egg white. Whisk yolks and sugar.
Whisk the whites till stiff, then whip the cream.
Now gently combine the three mixtures.
Stir cocoa and instant coffee into the coffee, then add this to into the mixture.
Amalgamate very gently, then put it in a freezer for at least 2 hours.
Serve Coppa del Nonno (Grandfather’s Cup) in ice cream bowls 😛
