Flapjack, also called muesli or cereal or granola bar, is a sweet tray-baked oat bar known in all the Anglo-Saxon countries. This recipe was suggested by Miriam under the recipe to make Allergies grancereale cookies: I was searching for new recipes to use oat flakes, and she gave me help by talking about these great bars. No sooner said than done: I made them, tasted them, and definitely appreciated them. The recipe is very easy to make. You can personalize them by usign chocolate or fruit. Flapjeck is an ideal snack, and you can store them for many days, just in a tin box.

Ingredients for 16 bars:
150 g of butter
150 g of brown sugar
100 ml of maple syrup
400 g of oat flakes
50 g of chocolate chips

Preparation Time: 20 min

Total Time: 55 min
Melt butter and sugar in a saucepan.
Then add maple syrup as well, and combine.
Put in a bowl ota flakes, chocolate chips and dried fruit.
Then add the butter mixture.
Amalgamate evenly with a wooden spoon.
Pour it in a 20×30-cm pan, covered with baking paper.
Evenly spread and level.
Bake at 140°C for about 40 minutes.
Then take out of the oven, let cool for a while, and cut into 16 bars.
Let cool down completely, then you can store Flapjacks in a container, so that you’ll be able to have a yummy and healthy snack whenever you like.
