Fruit Popsicles in summer time are a must. You can make them either with fruit juice, sugar syrup and fruit in pieces, or blended fruit. In order to make my homemade popsicles, I decided to opt for the latter option. I only used fresh fruit, and I decided to alternate the fruit to have a nice color effect. Aren’t my ice pops cute? The recipe to make popsicles at home is easy-peasy, and I’m sure your kids will love them. Moreover, besides being yummy and healthy, they’r really refreshing, perfect for summer 😉
I wish you a sweet, sweet Sunday :-*
Ingredients for 6 servings:
2 slices of pineapple
1 piece of watermelon
Cuti it in pieces and blend it with a mixer.
Pour the mixture in popsicle molds (fill them up to 1/3 of their height), then place the molds in the freezer for 1 hour.
Also blend pineapple slices with the mixer.
Take back the molds and pour pineapple mix inside, up to 2/3 of their height. Put back in the freezer for 1 more hour.
Clean watermelon from skin and seeds, cut it in pieces and put it in the mixer.
Blend watermelon as well.
Pour it into the molds, up to half cm from the edge.
Close the molds with their sticks. Let rest in the freezer for 2 more hours to set properly.
Then gently pull your popsicle out of the molds (to make it more easily, wet the molds under fresh running water for a few seconds), and serve.
