Giant Prawns with Orange is a fine and delicate dish I made a while ago with some beautiful organig oranges I was given to make marmelade (you’ll se the recipe on the blog very soon): I liked the combination with crustaceans. This recipe is a lulu: if Ivano liked crustaceans, I would definitely make it for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately I will have to make tenderloin or something alike, but if your partners like fish, do make it, I guarantee the success!
This morning I’ve refreshed my sourdough, and I’m now making a crucial test to see if it’s active. If it is, I’ll make a first experiment to bake some bread, and I’ll soon post my experience to make sourdough. So, fingers crossed for me!
I’m going back to work: today Elisa is at the park with her grandparents, so I must take my chance and do as much as I can as quick as I can 😉 Kisses and read you later.
Preparation Time: 15 min.
Cooking Time: 5 min.
Total Time: 20 min.
Wash the prawns, remove the heads and shell them (clic here to see how to clean prawns).
Wash the orange, cut it in two and make 4 slices out of one half. Chop the chives.
Melt the butter in a pan and add the orange slices.
Put aside the orange slices on a plate and add the prawns in the pan.
Squeeze the remaining half orange. Add Cointreau and orange juice into the pan, season with salt and chives, and let the gravy reduce.
Serve your Giant Prawns with Orange still hot, on the orange slices.
