And here you have this morning’s Halloween recipe: a brain of panna cotta and sour cherry syrup, by my sister.
I know there are two different fronts, about that: some people demended it, somebody else didn’t want me to post it… Well, even if it is a quite spooky dessert, I had to post it, evan just to gratify my sister, who spent time in making this fancy Halloween recipe, and she did a real good job 😉
As I told you yesterday, if you’re not easily frightened people and you want ot make a really spooky Halloween dessert, you must make this one: your guests will be dumbfunded… and it also is delicious!
Have a good Saturday, I’ll come back later to read you comments 😉
Here you can find all Halloween recipes I’ve made so far.
Preparation Time: 15 min.
Cooking Time: 15 min.
Total Time: 30 min. + 4 hours in the fridge
First and foremost, make panna cotta.
Pour cream, sugar and vanillin in a saucepan, and cook on a low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring every once and then. Meanwhile, leave the gelatin in a bowl with some cold water for about 10 minutes, then gently squeeze it, add into the saucepan, and stir to dissolve it.
Then pour the mixture in pudding molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Once ready, turn the molds upside-down so that you can begin to make your brain.
Model panna cotta, giving it an oval shape.
Trace a straight line in the middle, lengthwise, to make the 2 hemispheres.
With a toothpick, start making the typical brain grooves.
Once satisfied with the result, start pouring the sour cherry syrup on panna cotta.
Refrigerate your Halloween Brain till the last moment.
