Coca Cola is the best-known soft drink around the world. It is a sparkling beverage with dark color, tasting slightly similar to caramel.
It was invented in 1986 by John Pemberton, as a substitute for opiate against his headache. Originally, it was patented as French Wine Coca nerve tonic, and was produced from coca leaves and kola nuts, from which the name. Later, Pemberton sold the patent to a Mr. Asa Candler.
In 1919 it was quoted on the Stock and started its diffusion all over the world, and “The Coca-Cola Company” was settled in New York. In 1927, it arrived in Italy as well. Since then, Coca Cola fame has grown more and more, even though competitor products, like Pepsi, have been created.
