Greek Yogurt, or strained yogurt, is a version of yogurt made from goat milk. It is a food typical of the countries of Eastern Mediterranean region.

Because of its making process, Greek Yogurt has a texture much thicker than regular yogurt. In fact, goat milk is strained to remove all the whey. Moreover, thanks to this technique, Greek Yogurt also has an even lower content of lactose, making it more suitable to many intolerant people. It is rich in calcium, milk enzymes and casein protein.

Since its savor is richer and cremier than conventional yogurt, Greek Yogurt is much appreciated with salads, at breakfast with some honey, or even plain. You can also use it to make cheesecake, or even sour cream.
