Peas and Pancetta is a side dish I’ve been cooking quite often in the last period. I’m sure you all already know it, but I’ve decided to post it anyway on my blog… maybe I’ll give you an idea about what to do for your supper tonight 😉
You can make it both with canned peas, or fresh peas, or even frozen ones, so the cooking time may vary according to the type of peas you’ll decide to use: I used canned peas.
Here the weather is stil super-cold… As we are still shut in our house, I think I may go and make some new recipe to dispose of the vegetables from Elisa’s stock, as well as apples and pears she still refuses to eat… Yes, I’ve foud something she doesn’t eat at all 😉
Have a nice Saturday, and happy cooking!
Ingredients for 4 servings:
500 g of green peas
order clonidine 150 g of pancetta

Clean the onion, thinly slice it and fry with some oil in a large pan. Then add diced pancetta, and let golden for a few minutes.
Now add in the peas as well.
Pour inside a spoonful of the peas brine (if you’re using canned peas) or stock (if you’re using fresh or freezed ones). Let cook for about 20 minutes, lid on, then season to taste.
