Plain Ice Cream is made up of milk, cream and sugar: it has a quite mild flavor, so it is a great base for any ice cream. Since there is no egg, it is quite light too, and is perfect for children as well. That’s why it was my first experiment: last Saturday I inaugurated the ice cream maker I received together with the Kitchen Aid I gave myself as a Christmas gift, and I made a genuine and creamy Plain Ice Cream: I gave it with pleasure to my Elisa too, to whom I don’t give any industrial product, and she loved it! So I think my ice cream maker will be over-worked this year, as only this weekend I made three different variants 🙂
Have a nice day, and read you later 😉
Preparation Time: 30 min.
Cooking Time: 10 min.
Total Time: 40 min. + 4 hours in the freezer
Warm up milk and cream in a saucepan, together with sugar and vanilla.
As soon as the sugar will be completely dissolved, take away the vanilla bean, and pour the liquid part in a mixing bowl. When it will have cooled down, refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Pour now the mixture into the ice cream maker and set it as per its manual.
As regards the Kitchen Aid ice cream maker, (you must place the KitchenAid freeze bowl in the freezer for about 12 hours before using it, then you can) place the dasher, pour the mixture inside thew bowl, and set on Speed 1 for 15-20 minutes.
When the ice cream will be nicely creamy and thick, you can serve it right away in the ice cream bowls, plain or with some topping, or you can store it in the freezer and serve it whenever you like.
