Side Dishes are those courses you can serve to accompany second dishes. They usually are made with vegetables or legumes, and can be fried, baked, boiled, grilled…
The most used ingredients are eggplants, bell peppers, potatoes, green peas, artichokes, zucchini, salads and mushrooms, but there are even more.
For each one of these ingredients you can choose to follow a typical recipe, like melanzane a funghetto, zucchine alla scapece, roasted potatoes… Or else, you can make your own special variant, by varying spices, cooking methods or even combinations.
Among the Side Dish recipes I’ve gathered here, you will also find some international recipes, like onion rings or buttered corn.
