This Savory Mille-Feuille of Carasau is a fresh and quick idea, perfect as a summer dish made at the last moment. A celebration of classic summer Italian tastes, with the special crunchy addition of pane carasau, giving the dish an extra touch! In this recipe I’ve united savors of Sardinia and of my beloved Campania 😉

Preparation Time: 10 min
Total Time: 10 min + 10 minutes in the fridge
Wash and dry tomatoes, cut them in 4 and season with chopped basil, salt, and oil. Let rest for a dozen minutes in the fridge.
Put a first layer of pane carasau on each plate.
Add tomatoes over carasau bread.
Also add diced mozzarella.
Make 3 equal layers, finish with some tomatoes, a mozzarella ball and a leave of basil.
Let rest for a few minutes before serving your mille-feuille.
