I’ve been thinking about this Strawberry and White Chocolate Tiramisu for a while, I was just waiting for the right period, so that strawberries get sweet and juicy. So, last week, after buying great strawberries, I got down to work and made this great tiramisu, a real joy for eyes and palate, believe me 😉
If you want to make a special dessert, maybe for Mother’s Day (here in Italy it will be on next Sunday, May 10), this coul be the recipe for you.
Well, my friends, after a change of air, last weekend, today I feel full of energy, ready to face this new work week. So I leave you to the recipe and will set about my work, I have so many ideas in my head… Kisses :-*
Ingredients for the syrup:
100 g of strawberries
40 g of sugar
80 ml of water
Preparation Time: 20 min
Total Time: 20 min + 2 hours in the fridge
Let’s start by making strawberry syrup.
Rinse and clean strawberries (100 g), cut them in pieces, add water and sugar and blend with a hand-held mixer.
Melt chocolate in a bain-marie.
Put mascarpone in a bowl, add in chocolate and combine to get a cream.
Whip cream up, and incorporate it to mascarpone cream.
Rinse and clean remaining strawberries. Put 6 or 7 aside for final decoration, and cut the rest in pieces.
Then start to assemble your tiramisu.
Soak ladyfingers in the syrup, one at a time, by turning them over inside the syrup bowl.
Place soaked ladyfingers on a platter, close to each other.
Spread about 1/3 of cream over ladyfingers.
Then place about 1/2 of the strawberries in pieces over the cream.
Repeat to create the second layer.
Finally, place the third layer of soaked ladyfingers.
Spread the remaining cream over them.
Now thinly slice the strawberries you had put aside, and decorate your tiramisu.
Then put it in the fridge for at least a couple of hours.
Before serving, you can decorate your strawberry tiramisu with some white chocolate scales.
